Second problem are the level crossings for which 25 million euros were secured so that they can be improved throughout Greece in the next period.
The third problemconcerns the trees along the lines and for this reason funding of 5 million euros was secured.
Regarding the thefts, he said that it is an issue that must be dealt with as a whole, while he mentioned that before the thefts highlighted by SKAI with a report in western Attica, there had also been incidents in Xanthi with equipment that had just been installed.
For the subway
The Thessaloniki metro will operate on 30/11 with 13 stations and by the end of 2025 5 more stations will be delivered.
Regarding the problems in the Athens metro, he said that the main thing is the lack of air conditioning. “20 out of the 53 wires were received without air conditioning” he emphasized and added “only one company abroad of those we contacted undertakes the installation of air conditioning in the 20 wires.
About frequent breakdowns with elevators and escalators, he said that in previous years many had not been maintained for about 20 years.
He also noted that line 4 is expected to be completed within 2026.
For tolls
Mr. Staikouras clarified that there will be reductions in the prices of the national road tolls, except for the Attiki road.
From Pelasgia to the Key of Imathia, from October 1 until the end of 2025 it will be 3 euros.
