He shouted, cursed doctors and patients and attacked with scissors
Disruption prevailed in the early hours of Thursday at the Emergency Department of Volos Hospital. According to what TheNewspaper.gr records, a young woman visited the “Achillopouleio” police station, claiming to be a drug user.
Shortly after 03.00 she asked to be examined by an orthopedic surgeon, for a health problem she was allegedly dealing with, and because the arrival of the specialist was delayed ten minutes, she shouted, cursed the doctors and the patients, and attacked a patient with a pair of scissors she was carrying he expected to be served, injuring him.
At the same time, – according to the publication – he threatened the doctors with the scissors, creating panic. “100” was immediately called. Police arrived late and asked doctors and patients to file a case against her.
It is noted that the woman is known to the Authorities, but also to the medical staff of the Hospital, as just last Monday she was hospitalized in the Emergency Department due to excessive drug use.
This case brings to light the inadequacy of security in the country’s nursing institutions, as doctors, nurses and patients are in danger even inside hospitals.
