Tracing the Footsteps of Saint John the Russian

Within 15 minutes, viewers will put on the special virtual reality helmets and “immerse” themselves in the world of St. John the Russian and experience pivotal points in his life, from his birth and childhood to his participation in the Russo-Turkish war, his captivity and miracles.

According to ERT, for the production of the virtual reality film, shots were taken in the natural places where Agios lived, as well as historical research to document the material.

Compositions, colors and textures directly connected with the style of the hagiographies, combined with the inspired narrative and the corresponding musical accompaniment, bring to life the timelessness of the hagiographies.

After the first presentation of the project, the virtual reality film will travel to cities in the Region of Central Greece, but also outside Greece.
