The three involved in the accident at the Halkidiki amusement park, where the 19-year-old from Veria lost his life, gave explanations to the Kassandra Police Department with memoranda.

It is about the owner of the amusement park, the operator of the fatal game and an engineer, who were called, in the context of the criminal investigation, to testify as suspects of criminal acts (acquitted).

What did they testify?

They reportedly denied any criminal responsibility and expressed regret for the tragic accident.

The 58-year-old owner of the amusement park, according to the same information, requested the assistance of a technical consultant to “respond” to the conclusions of the expert report, which describes a series of failures and omissions in the operation of the fatal game (“crazy dance”).

On his part, the 21-year-old game operator reportedly testified that he did not leave the unfortunate 19-year-old helpless.

According to what has become known, he claimed that he was not able to provide first aid to the victim, nor to call for help or take him to the nearest hospital, because he was run away, as he said, after the incident.

“I could not know the poor condition and maintenance of the “crazy dance” machine, nor foresee the detachment of the machine from its position”, he seems to have mentioned in another part of his note, while, as far as the handling of the machine is concerned, he said that he was acting on the orders of his employerowner of the amusement park.

Finally, the person involved mechanicalin his own memorandum he argued that the responsible statements he allegedly gave were not used to present to the municipality of Kassandra, while, as he stated, not requested by the relevant amusement park certification body to inspect and check the machines.
