A 17-year-old man, who allegedly had relations with the daughter of a 40-year-old man, managed to hit the father on the head with a crowbar while he was leaving his house in a coastal village of Lefkada.

According to the website ilefkada.gr, the 17-year-old, together with three other people, attacked the 40-year-old when he was leaving his house. The four youths attacked him with hammers, and other construction tools while the 17-year-old hit him on the head with a crowbar resulting in his injury and his transfer to the hospital.

The four young men are being held in the police custody of Lefkada and on Monday they will be brought before the investigator bearing heavy charges.

“Yesterday (05.10.2024), in Lefkada, by police officers of the Lefkada Police Department, four people – two foreigners and two citizens – were arrested, including a 17-year-old minor, who attacked and injured a 40-year-old citizen.
In particular, as the 40-year-old complained, in the evening hours of Friday (04.10.2024), leaving his home, he was attacked by the above-mentioned perpetrators, with various construction tools (hammers, crowbars and sledgehammers), while the 17-year-old managed to hit him in the head, with a crowbar, injuring him.
A preliminary investigation into the case is being conducted by the Lefkada Police Department, in the context of which the parents of the 17-year-old, one of the perpetrators, were also arrested for neglecting his supervision.
The arrested persons were taken to Mr. Plemmeliodikons Prosecutor of Lefkada and after criminal prosecution was instituted against them with the charges of attempted murder, affray with complicity, participation in a gang and violations of the weapons legislation, they were referred to Mr. Ankritis.
