The 65-year-old man who was stabbed on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 8 by his nephew in his own home in Euboea.

According to exclusive information of evima.gr the unfortunate old man breathed his last while being treated at the general hospital of Chalkida.

The stab wounds were multiple and unfortunately he succumbed to them.

The assailant is being sought by the police.

The tragic chronicle

The news that a 38-year-old man stabbed his uncle in his own house in Evia fell like a bolt of lightning. Everything happened on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 8, in Spathari, Municipality of Mantoudi, Lake Agia Anna.

According to the testimonies of residents from the village of Spathari, the 38-year-old allegedly entered his uncle’s house, injuring him with multiple stab wounds. As residents of the village told evima.gr, the 65-year-old, despite the many stabbings, managed to get out of the house and arrived at the village cafe to ask for help.

The patrons of the cafe immediately called an EKAB ambulance which took the injured man and took him to the Mantoudi health center in order to give him first aid and then he was transferred to the Chalkida General Hospital.

According to the same testimonies, the 38-year-old is allegedly facing psychological problems.
