A new travel experience is trying to offer its passengers Hellenic Trainwhich launched the new trading platform which provides an easy-to-use and flexible way of ticketing.

Passengers are now able to purchase tickets through Hellenic Train’s new commercial platform, which features new upgraded services, new “graphics” and functions, eliminating the need for a physical presence at the company’s offices. Among the possibilities provided to the passenger is the purchase of the ticket, its change – choosing another route of the same route on a different date and time without charge – but also the change by paying on the spot or refunding the difference in the price of the new ticket will be issued.

At the same time, by pressing a button on their mobile phone, passengers have the possibility to cancel their ticket or card, with a refund and in proportion to the original payment method, and even to receive compensation in case of delays.

“The inauguration of the new commercial platform marks HellenicTrain’s entry into the new digital era. Through this innovative solution we offer a series of possibilities to the passenger who, with the further development of the capabilities of the new commercial platform, will enjoy a comprehensive experience from “end-to-end”. The new trading platform offers the possibility to:

-Control of the ticket on the train by the controller through his mobile device and immediate validation.

-In case the passenger faces difficulties in issuing a ticket electronically, he can contact the nearest ticket office and the employee can visualize his ticket on the screen.

– Buy a ticket through the website

-Ticket purchase via mobile phone as the new app is supported by IOS and Google platforms

-Cancellation/modification/change of ticket.

-Receiving compensation in case of route delays.

It is noted that the new commercial platform has been “in the air” since October 8 and integrates all communication channels of Hellenic Train so that all ticket information as well as their management are accessible in real time.

Hellenic Train’s goal is to offer a comprehensive and easy-to-use service to the passenger who now enjoys simplified ticketing procedures and overall access to services.

It is a “green” solution, as all tickets are now issued digitally, drastically reducing the use of paper. At the same time, the security of transactions is strengthened by the adoption of electronic ticket standards, which shield the systems against the risk of electronic fraud.

It also ensures interoperability with other ticketing platforms as they evolve into a unified environment. In the next year it will be able to integrate a number of services due to the increased interoperability provided by the platform.

For the first time, one will be able to purchase a Hellenic Train gift card (Gift Card|Hellenic Train), which can be offered as a gift for the purchase of tickets and cards from the new shopping platform. For mobile devices in the Apple Store and Google Store (IOS and Android), it is enough for the user to install the new app of Hellenic Train “HT New Platform”, replacing the existing one. At the moment it supports two languages, Greek and English, with the upcoming addition of the Italian language.
