The fear and terror of shopkeepers and pedestrians had become 44 years old in areas of northeastern Attica.

The “rich” activity of the 44-year-old is captured in the video document published by skai.gr.

As it emerged from the EL.AS investigation, since the middle of August the 44-year-old systematically carried out armed robberies against employees of pharmacies, hotels, or shops and even against pedestrians in areas of Northeast Attica.

As for the methodology of his action, it emerged that mostly in the afternoon-evening hours, riding a “business bike”, of the scooter type, he approached during their hours of operation the store or pharmacy or the hotel he intended to commit a robbery and observed the space. When he realized that there were no customers within his prospective targets, only employees, he would park the business motorcycle either in front of the entrance or nearby. Afterwards, he would enter the premises, approaching the store employee, where with the threat of a gun or a knife he was carrying, he would either force his victims to surrender to him, or remove sums of money from the cash register area. Then there was smoke.

The 44-year-old, who was not limited only to robberies against pharmacies or shops, but also extended to robberies against pedestrians, was taking high self-protection measures.

He made sure to cover his facial features using a motorcycle helmet, cloth or surgical mask and sunglasses. He also covered the license plate of his “business” motorcycle with either a towel or a bag, thus making it difficult to identify the motorcycle’s details and, by extension, to locate and arrest him. In fact, the fact that his business two-wheeled motorcycle was owned by a rental company was a safety valve, so that even if he was noticed, the two-wheeler could not be directly linked to him.

The 44-year-old is now in the hands of ELAS while the preliminary investigation revealed 13 cases of robbery as well as attempted theft in Kifissia, Pefki and Marousi.
