23-year-old stole car from woman who stopped to help when 60-year-old injured – Then crashed into other cars
A 23-year-old young man was arrested in Rethymno, who was involved in the traffic accident that occurred early in the morning in Armenis, Rethymno, resulting in the serious injury of a 60-year-old man.
Specifically, the 23-year-old immediately after the collision, which happened at the 6th km of the Rethymno-Agia Galini provincial road, got into a woman’s car, who stopped to help.
The young man headed towards Agia Galini and on the way collided with two vehicles at different times.
According to information from APE-MBE, policemen chased him and finally arrested him.
He was taken to the police headquarters, where he was subjected to toxicology tests.
According to the Police, the car that was taken from the woman was returned to her, the drivers of the two cars that the 23-year-old collided with are in good health, while they were subjected to breathalyzer tests which were negative.
However, the 60-year-old man who was initially injured in the first collision underwent surgery and is hospitalized in a serious condition.
The 23-year-old will be brought to the public prosecutor, among other things, on the charge of abandonment in a traffic accident.
