500 new jobs are opening in the development project in NE Halkidiki
Construction work is in full swing at copper and gold mining project in Skourieswith the aim of its commercial operation at the end of 2025. It is one of the largest and most important mining projects being developed in our country, as it will produce gold and copper, two strategic metals both for the national economy and for European self-sufficiency in mineral raw materials. The project is being developed by Hellinikos Chrysos, a leading mining company in Greece, with a significant contribution to the national and local economy.
As the project is at its construction peak, numerous new employment opportunities of various specialties are being created, both in technical worker potential (e.g. clerk and project machine operators, personnel for the production departments of the ore processing plant and the underground and surface mine, electricians, etc.) as in scientific staff (mining engineers, geologists, etc.)
Hellinikon Chrysos, as one of the largest employers in Northern Greece, as well as the subcontractors of the Skouria project, organizes series of open informational events* to highlight existing and future employment opportunities. The initiative aims to attract and inform interested parties from the region for more than 500 new jobs in the Skourion Project, which respectively concern the ongoing construction phase, and subsequently the operation of the new state-of-the-art mine.
All in all, the new jobs will appeal to anyone and everyone, regardless of gender, age, work experience or educational background. The company’s goal is the coverage of the largest percentage of positions with workforce from the local community as a matter of priority (residents of the Municipality of Aristotelis and the surrounding areas).
It is worth noting that all new employees, whether they are at the beginning of their career or progressing to the next stage, will have access to specialized training in the modern Training Center of Greek Gold, where they will acquire the necessary skills to successfully integrate into their new roles.
