Two members of the gang that supplied heroin to small dealers were arrested – From the investigations so far, the financial benefit exceeds 360,000 euros.
The Narcotics Prosecution Sub-Directorate of the Organized Crime Directorate, proceeded to another dismantling a criminal networkwhich was active in the import, storage, adulteration and further distribution, mainly to small traders, of quantities heroinin areas of Western Attica.
For the case 2 foreigners were arrested37 and 30 years old, members of the organization, while the case file also includes another wanted member.
As emphasized in the relevant announcement, the police officers of the Heroine Department, after utilizing information, verifying and cross-referencing information, using special investigative techniques and creating a profile of those involved (profiling), certified the criminal activity of the gang and the roles played by its members.
Specifically:
• 37 years old, senior members, had undertaken the finding of prospective buyers, as well as the counterfeiting and coordination of the safe trafficking of narcotics,
• 30 years old, he was responsible for guarding of the drug counterfeiting and reformulation laboratory, as well as for the transport their,
• another member, wanted, was responsible for the introduction of drugs in Greek territory and their delivery to the other members of the organization.
In house and vehicle searches, among other things, the following were found and seized:
• 40 improvised packages, which contained heroin with a total weight of 19 kilograms and 969 grams,
• counterfeit substance, with a total weight of 20 kilograms and 200 grams,
• counterfeiting and reprinting laboratory equipment (hydraulic compression press, molds, stamp, electric stirrers, etc.) 21,590 euros,
• 2 vehicles,
• motorcycle,
• iron fist,
• 3 precision scales,
• 5 mobiles,
• closed circuit camera and
• multitude of nylon packages.
As noted by ELAS, the 37-year-old tried to avoid the police control, putting up a strong resistance, without, however, succeeding in doing so and was immobilized.
From the investigations so far, it is estimated that the illegal financial benefitwhich the members of the organization would receive from drug trafficking, exceeds them 360,000 euros.
Those arrested were taken to the competent prosecutor’s office.
