Mr. Kostas Hatzis is giving a reward to anyone who finds the traditional clothing in which he has been running for years in the Athens Marathon
A reward of 1000 euros is given by Mr. Kostas Hatzis to anyone who finds the traditional clothing in which he has been running for years in the Athens Marathon.
As he mentions in his post, he came to Greece yesterday from the Netherlands where he lives permanently to run in the Marathon on Sunday.
When he arrived at his hotel, he discovered that the suitcase containing the traditional Greek costume, his matching shoes and the Olympic Truce flag were missing. “My world has collapsed,” he says in his post.
His post in detail:
“€1000 to bring my costume back.
Yesterday, November 6 at 7:00 p.m
I arrived at Athens airport for the 41st Athens Marathon.
With the rented car I first went to eat something near the Acropolis Museum.
When I wanted to check in to the hotel later, I discovered that my suitcase was missing from the car.
My world came crashing down.
They grabbed my traditional Greek costume and matching shoes. My flag for the Olympic Truce.
My Running outfits and everything I need for a week.
I didn’t come from my home in NL to eat, drink and sleep in Athens”
