The 17-year-old, who was arrested yesterday afternoon for setting fire to a traffic police car on October 11 outside the building of the Aitolia Police Department, is to be brought before the public prosecutor of Messolonghi.
A case file was filed against the arrested person for arson, explosion, manufacturing and possession of explosive materials, as well as for damage to foreign property, while at the same time a case file was filed against his parents for neglecting the supervision of a minor.
Meanwhile, according to the police, as emerged from the Messolonghi Security investigations, the 17-year-old, in the early hours of October 11, riding a bicycle, carrying a backpack and wearing a hood, initially approached the parking lot of the patrol cars. He then placed an improvised incendiary explosive device in a parked patrol car, consisting of a gas bottle and a plastic container with a flammable liquid, which he detonated causing material damage to the patrol car.
During a search of the 17-year-old’s home, the police found 183 flyers, 91 pamphlets, three banners and one poster referring to the anti-authoritarian space.
They also found, among other things, 13 metal spray cans, three laptops, four mobile phones, two portable data storage devices, an agenda with handwritten notes, etc.
The investigations of the Messolonghi Police are continuing.
