Two vehicles with rescuers and a DIKEPAZ veterinarian rushed quickly to the National Highway, where they located the injured dog on the dividing islet, right at the height of Lake Koumundouros in Aspropyrgos.
His business had a happy ending DIKEPAZ on the Athens – Corinth National Highway, to rescue an injured dog that was stranded on the intermediate island, between the two traffic lanes.
DIKEPAZ was notified of the incident by Dimitris Koliomichalis, a journalist of the “SKAI” radio station, who had received calls from listeners who were passing by the scene of the incident at the time.
Two vehicles with rescuers and a DIKEPAZ veterinarian rushed quickly to the National Highway, where they located the injured dog on the dividing islet, right at the height of Lake Koumundouros in Aspropyrgos.
The ambulance crews were forced to briefly stop traffic on both lanes of the National Highway, so that there would be no danger for the panicked animal, nor for the DIKEPAZ staff who approached him.
After some time of anxiety, everything finally went well and the large female dog arrived safely at DIKEPAZ, where she is being treated by the nursing staff.
The even better news is that the dog’s guardians have already contacted DIKEPAZ, and will receive him after his health is restored.
