For the first time it is now operating in Greece National Intelligence Service Intelligence and Counterintelligence Academy. The main mission is the training of new agents as well as employees in critical ministries and agencies.

According to ERT, a few months ago a closed group of experienced EYP officials proceeded to bilateral contacts with corresponding secret service officials from other countries for the creation of the Academy.

In the next period of time, the National Intelligence Service will proceed with recruitment in two public tenders for executives, official and staff.

Depending on the branch and specialty, a specific training program will follow.

The training will last 24 months.

The first stage of education it will last eight months and will essentially be theoretical training.

There the way of thinking will be formed so that they can adapt to the environment of the secret services, develop skills, have resistance to pressure, be able to search, collect information, handle sources and also the geopolitical situation of various countries of the world.

The second stage will have a training duration of two months. There will be scenarios in a virtual city. They will be based on cases both in our country and abroad. There will also be a virtual reality chamber where, using technology, Greek agents will be transported to action scenarios and practice decision-making using artificial intelligence.

The third stage it will be about internship, 12 months there will be service integration.

Experienced agents will be next to the young people and in the fourth stage, there will actually be the theoretical and practical exams for their permanent placement.

Critical for the National Intelligence Service is the counter-espionage stage and for this reason there will be specific training for executives who will be in critical ministries and structures.
