What happened in is unprecedented Heraklion with the cancellation of the double sacrament of marriage-baptism due to the arrest of the 36-year-old groom, a few hours before the church. The 36-year-old, as Cretalive.gr wrote, was arrested in the early hours of Saturday, as part of an operation by the TAE of Heraklion, following information. Among other things, about 170 grams of cocaine, bullets and a statuette were found in his house.

The police officers allegedly had “hot” information, but the point is that the operation took place on the day of the 36-year-old’s wedding, while the couple was also going to baptize their child. His journalistic sources Cretalive.gr they report that the groomsmen and groomsmen were not one, not two, not three but 14 (!).

The families were preparing a three-cover feast since the joy would be double and the guests would be hundreds. But otherwise they planned them, otherwise they came to them.

When officers entered the home and found the drugs, the 36-year-old allegedly told them he was getting married and it would all be disastrous….

But it was too late. The 36-year-old was arrested, taken to Heraklion Police Station and is now facing a very serious crime. Under these conditions, marriage-baptism could not be performed.

It is the first time in many years that something like this has happened, that is, to cancel a marriage due to an arrest. Arrests for adultery are usually recorded in premaritals, so there is a window of time for the future groom to be released. Moreover, this offense is of a different nature from drug possession. In the case of the 36-year-old, the arrest took place on the day of the wedding and procedurally there is no provision for him to appear at the ceremony, under police escort.

It is worth noting that the police also handcuffed the 36-year-old’s mother, who, in her attempt to protect her son and prevent the marriage from breaking up, tried, as reported, to disappear the taper with the coke, but she was noticed.
