Call to everyone from the Organization: “Together let’s ensure that no child misses Christmas” – Detailed list
Ahead of the Christmas season, “The Smile of the Child” is carrying out a nationwide Campaign to Collect Food and First Need Items, until December 13, 2024, in order to meet the ever-increasing needs of already financially weak families.
According to the announcement, “your support is vital to strengthen our actions and services, supporting children hosted in the Organization’s Homes nationwide and children whose families face serious financial problems, unable to meet basic needs.
“We invite all of you, individuals and businesses, to participate in the nationwide campaign to collect food and other essential items, and together we ensure that no child misses Christmas. Only with the participation of all of us, we will manage, this Christmas, to ensure the children and their families the most beautiful and warm Christmas!” mentions in his call The Smile.
The food and basic necessities collected by the Organization, as well as the 14 points nationwide where the products are received:

Infant milk No. 1 & 2
Baby creams
Evaporated milk
Baby care items (diapers No. 4, 5 & 6, baby wipes, shampoo, shower gels)
Breakfast items (cocoa, biscuits, croissants, cereals, toasts, honey, jam, merenda, juices)
Personal care products (shampoo, shower gels, toothpastes, toothbrushes, etc.)
Household items (tinfoil, cling film, parchment paper, trash bags, disposable gloves)
Sugar
Pasta
Oil
Spices
Vinegar
Legumes
Cleaning products (general purpose cleaners and disinfectants, fabric softener, laundry detergent, bleach, etc.)
Rice
Tomato sauce
Packaged Christmas Sweets (melomacarona, kourabiedes, etc.)
Stationery (toilet paper, kitchen paper, paper towels)

As pointed out in the announcement, “the process of collecting, managing and transporting the items is carried out with absolute transparency. In particular, the items offered are transported by the Organization’s specialized vehicles (refrigerated trucks, specialized refrigerators) to the Support Centers and the Organization’s Item Banks. The management and storage of items is done individually, by category, with respect and absolute observance of safety and hygiene rules”.
