Emergency traffic regulations and strict security measures will be in effect tomorrow, Friday in Athens due to the gatherings and marches planned for the 16th anniversary of the assassination of Alexandros Grigoropoulos.
According to EL.AS., the traffic regulations, on various road axes in the center of the city, will be carried out gradually and according to the presented traffic conditions.
It is noted that traffic facilitation measures have been planned and will be taken by the Attica Traffic Directorate in the wider area of ​​the center.
“Drivers are asked to avoid driving and parking their vehicles in the wider area of ​​the event venues, both for their convenience and to avoid additional traffic problems,” the police statement said.
5,000 policemen on foot
At the same time, according to the plan of EL.AS., 5,000 police officers will be on foot, while drones will also be used for aerial surveillance.
