Panhellenic 2022: Radical changes in the way of admission to universities – What you need to know |

by

Radical changes in the way of admission to universities will apply in the next national exams of 2022 with a focus, as presented by “Kathimerini”, the weighting factors for the four courses which are defined separately by the 461 departments of universities.

Typically, similar scientific departments have chosen different factors, creating a new landscape, a new equation to be solved, in the calculation of units for the admission of candidates.

Examples: EKPA Dentistry gives 25% weight for all courses while the corresponding AUTh set 20% for Language, 25% for Physics and Chemistry, with Biology more demanding at 30%. The Department of Economics of the AOP set 25% for Mathematics while the equivalent of Thrace o upgrades to 28%.

Law of Athens also gives a 25 diploma 25% in all four courses but Law of AUTh sets 30% in Language and Ancient and “only” 20% in History and Latin. Medical EKPA and AUTh are identical. “Yes” to everything from 25%.

In the schools of NTUA the image of the factors is clearly more pluralistic.

As expert analysts explain to “K” with the new way of calculation, the computers of the candidates will catch fire as “the candidate will have a different number of admission points in each part of his scientific field”.
