The “outgoing” American ambassador to the country, whose position Kimberly Guilfoyle will take with the Trump administration, had a meeting with the Minister of Education today.

“It was an honor to work with Kyriakos Pierrakakis, to provide greater educational opportunities for everyone,” said George Tzounis in his post.

“We eagerly await the Ministry’s announcement in the new year for a series of new joint and dual master’s programs between Greek and American universities,” he concludes.

Speaking recently to Mega, George Tsounis characterized his tenure in Greece as “the three best years of his life” and emphasized that he is leaving the embassy but not Greece, noting that he will always be by our country and help as can.
