Criminal prosecution against an executive of the Directorate of the Ministry of Transport was brought yesterday by the Larisa Appellate Prosecutor’s Office about the train tragedy in Tempe.

The prosecution comes after an investigation by the appellate investigator who is handling the Tempe case and concerns the felony of disturbing the safety of transportation, which resulted in the death of many people by omission and for the misdemeanors of manslaughter by serial negligence, great bodily harm by serial negligence. According to ERT, new prosecutions of ministry officials are expected in the next period.

New deadline for the Station Master

Today, the station master’s supplementary statement to the appellant investigator was scheduled. However, through his lawyer, he requested and received a new deadline for next week.
