Questions are raised by the new complaint by the daughter of a retired lieutenant colonel who died after a routine operation at 424
New complaint according to which the 67-year-old retired lieutenant colonel Kosmas Kosmidis was admitted to the 424 Military Hospital of Thessaloniki for a gallstone, and finally breathed his last in the ICU, as he had bile fluid in his body and the doctors did not detect it during the during the operation, but not even after the operation, was made public.
In fact, according to the complaint, after the surgery, doctors allegedly told the lieutenant colonel he would be discharged soon, and the officer within hours began to collapse, while he was in excellent health.
“After two and a half days they realized that one side of him had collected fluid, so after the puncture they realized that it was bile fluid. Bile fluid was running in my father’s intestines for 2.5 days and they didn’t take it lightly,” says the 67-year-old’s daughter speaking to OPEN.
“Before they take him out of surgery, May 13, 2023, he calls us screaming and yelling ‘girls come see me, they’re saying something about tubes, they haven’t connected the tubes, I don’t know what’s going on, they want to put me back in surgery'” » he says characteristically.
The family of the 67-year-old claims that it is possible that the man fell victim to the doctors’ indifference.
“If this incident – the doctor told us – came to my clinic, I would not operate on it. And we say to her, “Why did you operate on it, madam? Doesn’t our father’s soul count here?” We never got any answers”, complains the daughter of the deceased.
