A 16-year-old boy, who had been intubated since last night at the Achillopouleio Hospital in Volos, has lost the battle he was fighting to keep alive, after being seriously injured in a traffic accident in Argalasti of South Pelion on Saturday night.
The 16-year-old did not make it, despite the desperate efforts of doctors to keep him alive.
The traffic accident happened yesterday at around 9 in the evening, at the entrance of the town and very close to the Argalasti Health Center, when the motorcycle the 16-year-old was riding and driven by his 17-year-old friend, was involved in a traffic accident and collided with a passenger car.
The doctors of K.Y. Paramedics who immediately ran to the incident, tried to provide first aid to the two injured young people, but the 16-year-old was very seriously injured and was taken by EKAB ambulance to the Achillopouleio Hospital in Volos, where it was deemed necessary to intubate him and admit him to the ICU.
Finally, despite the efforts of the doctors, the 16-year-old breathed his last just before 8 this evening, while the circumstances of the new tragedy on the asphalt are being investigated by the police.
