Police officers of the Rethymno Crime Investigation and Prosecution Sub-Directorate and the Rethymno Crime Prevention and Suppression Team entered a health care-cafeteria in an area of the Municipality of Rethymno, owned by a citizen who was absent, after midnight, and in the check they carried out it was found that the manager of the store had allowed to seven people the participation in the implementation of the prohibited game of chance “dice”, with the conclusion of a monetary bet and the awarding of winnings to the players and the organizer, who were also arrested.
In a check carried out on the arrested and in a search carried out in the store area, on a specially designed table, the amount of money of 2,685 euros was found and confiscated as coming from or destined for the performance of the game of chance and a pair of dice.
The preliminary investigation is carried out by the Rethymno Crime Investigation and Prosecution Directorate.
