A video “captures” a gang of Roma minors in the act of committing robberies and burglaries in the homes of the elderly in the Piraeus area.

Three of the 15-year-old perpetrators were arrested, while an 18-year-old, who has been identified, is still being sought.

As for their mode of action, the minors, having uncovered their facial features, entered houses, breaking down doors or balcony doors.

Then, at the threat of a knife, air gun or using force, they immobilized their victims or in some cases gagged them with various clothes and then took money, jewelry and mobile phones.

In searches carried out in houses, as well as in the possession of the accused, items of clothing worn during the commission of the robberies, as well as mobile phones, were found and confiscated.

The investigation so far revealed the involvement of the aforementioned persons in 4 cases of robberies and 2 attempts at houses, as well as in 2 cases of theft, of which one in a house and one on the street in areas of Piraeus.

It is noted that the arrested have previously been of concern to the authorities for committing thefts in houses.

The arrested persons were taken to the competent prosecuting authority, while the investigation into their participation in other similar criminal acts continues.

A case file was filed against them, while the parents of those involved are also included for neglecting the supervision of a minor.
