EL.AS will proceed with traffic regulations on Sunday, March 20, due to the conduct of 10th Athens Half Marathon and his 5 km road race. It is noted that from Thursday 17 March from 08.00 to 23.00, but also on the day of the games, from 06.00 to their end, there will be a special call center, with call numbers 210-8708237, 210-8708238 and 210-8708239 , with whom citizens can contact to find out about the prevailing traffic conditions and proposed alternative routes.
Particularly, according to EL.AS, the traffic regulations are as follows:
On Sunday (20/3) and during the hours 08.30 ΄ to 12.00 ΄ the 10th Athens Half Marathon 2022 will be held on the route:
Start: Vas. Amalias Avenue at the height of Syntagma Square (Monument to the Unknown Soldier).
Route: Vas. Amalias Avenue – University – Aeolus (left) – Stadiou (left) – Pl. Syntagma – Filellinon – L. Vas. Amalias (right) – junction L. Vas .. Amalias / L. Vas. Olgas – passage to the upstream traffic of L. Vas. Amalias (traffic to the Center) – Ath. Vouliagmenis / Ardittou – Ardittou (left in the traffic flow to Kallirois) – junction of Vas. Olgas Avenue / Vas. Konstantinou Avenue – continue straight to Vas. Vas. Konstantinou in Eratosthenous – Vas. Sofias Avenue (traffic flow to Kifissias Avenue) – Mesogeion Avenue (right) – Feidippidou (left) – Vas. Sofias Avenue / L. Κηφισίας / Λ. Alexandras – Alexandras Ave. (traffic flow to Patision) – junction of Alexandra Ave. left) – Omonia – Panepistimiou (left) – Patision (left to Patisia, opposite to traffic) – continuation of Patision (passage to the traffic flow to Patisia at the height of Stournari Street) – Alexandras Avenue (traffic flow to Kifissos Avenue) – Kombis Vas. At the same time, on the same day and during the hours 11.45΄ to 12.45΄, a 5 km Road Race will be held on the route:
Start: Sq. Syntagma (Filellinon), at the height of Othonos Street, in the direction of Filellinon Street.
Route: Filellinon – Vas. Amalias Avenue (right) – at the height of the traffic light of Vas. Olga Avenue (left) – Vas. Konstantinos Avenue (left) – Hilton Junction (left) – Vas. Sofias Avenue (traffic flow from Syntagma to Hilton) – Akadimias (right) – Charilaou Trikoupi (left) – Panepistimiou (left) – L. V. Amalias.
Termination: Vas. Amalias Avenue (in front of the Monument of the Unknown Soldier).
In the context of conducting the above sporting events, the Sunday (20/3) and during the hours 05.30 ΄ to 13.30 ΄ the following temporary will take place Traffic regulations:
– Temporary and gradual cessation of traffic and prohibition of stopping – parking of vehicles (including bicycles) on Sunday (20/3) and during the hours 05.30΄ to 13.30΄, in the following avenues, streets and squares of the Municipality of Athens as follows:

• Mesogeion Avenue, in the section between Kanellopoulou and Feidippidou streets, traffic flow to Alexandras Avenue, as well as in its perpendiculars to the first parallel road.
• Mesogeion Avenue, in the section between Vas. Sofia Avenue and Michalakopoulou Street, as well as in its perpendiculars to the first parallel street.
• Feidippidou, in the section between Mesogeion Avenue and L.V. Sofias, traffic flow to Alexandras Avenue, as well as in its perpendiculars to the first parallel road.
– Prohibition of the vertical passage of vehicles from the Half Marathon route, during the above intervals, except for the following controlled junctions:

Due to traffic restrictions, drivers can follow the following indicative alternative routes:
– From Athens Center to Zografou – Pagrati – Kaisariani – Byron:
Alexandras Avenue – Char. Trikoupi (vertical crossing when there is no large number of athletes) – to Gyzi area – continue through Panormos – Kifissias Avenue – Katehaki Avenue.
– From Zografou – Pagrati – Kaisariani – Byron to the Center of Athens:
Ulof Palme – Kokkinopoulou – L. Katehaki – L. Kifissias – Panormou – area Gyzi – L. Alexandras / Ippokratous (vertical crossing when there is no large number of athletes).
– From the center of Athens to the southern suburbs:
Piraeus – Hamosternas – Syggrou Avenue – Poseidonos Avenue or,
Piraeus – Chamosternas – Kallirois – Vouliagmeni Avenue.
– From Gyzi, Kypseli, Galatsi to Lycabettus Hill, Kolonaki, Exarchia:
Gyzi – Loukareos area (vertical crossing when there is no large number of athletes) – Nikotsara – Lycabettus Ring Road.
