“Multilevel human rights protection and the persistent importance of the National Constitution” was the theme of a scientific workshop held on Monday, January 27, 2025 at the National Bank’s T. Karatzas Amphitheater on the occasion of the release of a reference project Constitutional law. This is the publications of the Sakkoula Publications of the Collective Project “THE GREEK CONSTITUTION – ARTICLE INTERPRETATION, VOLUME I, Articles 1 – 25”.

In the volume, whose scientific direction is Evangelos Venizelos and the scientific editing by Charalambos Anthopoulos and Lina Papadopoulou, there are authorship of forty renowned lawyers, exquisite judicial officers and older members of the academic community.

The volume is the corpus of fundamental rights (Articles 4-25 of the Constitution in conjunction with the ECHR and the EU). However, there is also the interpretation of Article 1 on the form of the state, Article 2 on the primary obligations of the State and Article 3 on the State and Church relations. The volume includes an extensive introductory introductory comment of Evangelos Venizelos on the fundamental rights, which refers to the entire material of Articles 4-25 and attempts to inform the reader who appears to the article interpretation of all the provisions.

The event, co-ordinated by Mr. Evangelos Venizelos, Emeritus Professor AUTH, former Vice-President of the Government, was predicted by Ms. Julia Iliopoulou-Strang, Emeritus Professor of EKPA. The presentations were presented by Messrs. Kostas Mavrias, Emeritus Professor of EKPA, President of the Scientific Council of the House, Linos-Alexandros Sisilianos, Professor of EKPA, former ECHR President and Philip Spyropoulos, Emeritus Professor of EKPA. Mr. Charalambos Anthopoulos, Professor of EAP, and Mrs Lina Papadopoulou, Professor AUTH.

The event was honored by the presence of the President of the Republic Katerina Sakellaropoulou.
