Florina is intertwined with peppers and Petros Naoumidis, a production unit owner explains to “where there is Greece” why
One of the many for which Florina is famous is its peppers.
“Where there is Greece” in SKAI visited a production unit, where everything is organic, with love and passion dominating, advertising the dietary “trump” of the area.
Petros Naoumidis, the owner of the unit, characterizes his business based in the area of St. Panteleimon, “Kingdom of Pepper”.
Saint Panteleimon, explains, is the first village of the county east and has a huge tradition and gastronomic culture on pepper.
“She grew up with peppers,” she comments, among other things, that for the locals the pepper is the “queen of vegetables” and has her honor.
“The reason we dealt with pepper … is a local product,” he says.
“Brand name … Florina. We are Florina. It is very important, ”he notes, saying that this vegetable also thrives perfectly in the area because of its particular microclimate.
It says that precisely because of this microclimate peppers have no diseases, which in itself is particularly impressive.
