Elabia Revi visited two animal shelters in Santorini and talked to the people who care for them and refuse to abandon them during these difficult times.

One hosts cats and dogs, and Myrto Bougiouka managers clarifies in “Where there is a Greek” that he will not leave them behind while already in consultation with an Athens animal organization to come in volunteers in case it is needed. The second shelter hosts various animals- other donkeys, mules, pigs, goats, hens and ducks- a regular farm.

Volunteers from all over the world come and care for stray, old and abused animals. And in this case, as Christina Kaloudi tells us, they will take care of them as needed. As the people of the shelters, but also one of the veterinarians on the island, assured us, no animal has been abandoned by residents who left because of the situation.

In one shelter, Elambia had a funny incident when the two goats, Sinatra and Bowie, ate her pants.
