With a moving text, George Kourdis says his mother who passed away at the age of 81
With a moving text that bears the title of farewell to the mother – when you win the “summer”! George Kourdis says goodbye to his mother who passed away at the age of 81:
You have been fighting for years with the “summer” called dementia and you never put it down, after all, you got so much love and care.
The disease heavy and relentless was trying to pay you.
But you resist because you had the light inside you, you had the kids next to you, the partner of your life.
This was the best medicine.
They say that there is no return to this disease, that when the countdown begins, the mind and the body is delivered.
Your mother, you denied them all.
Science could not give it an explanation for it, but we knew that the more love you were, the more the “summer” from within you.
So the “summer” called dementia has not defeated you, it beat the light!
And that will guide us for all our lives.
You may not have been talking to us a lot lately, but in your eyes the words of your soul were mirrored.
Lighten your face when you saw us all with you.
The “summer” was defeated because you wanted to live next to your loved ones.
Your children, your husband, your grandchild.
The best medicine against the summer of dementia that destroys the lives of thousands of our fellow humans is love.
Ms. Evangelia Kourdi, Mrs. Litsa as many of the children of the then old elementary school in Ovrya Patras will not be remembered,
She left her 81st year, having fought for over 14 years with this disease.
The diagnosis was dementia in Parkinson’s disease.
And yes, the disease was no stronger.
That is why we should never give up the battle, never give up our people who are in the spectrum of this illness, but others, not to put it down, because this disease can be defeated too!
Ask for help those who go through this test, talk, but above all show care and love, this will be the best medicine for your human being!
We will remember you with your smile …
Dedicated to our mother
Evangelia Kurdi.
