A preliminary investigation into the attack by the President of the Department of Mathematics of the University of Athens, Sotiris Notis by a group of hoodlums last Friday, was ordered by the Head of the Athens Public Prosecutor’s Office, Aristides Korea.
The preliminary investigation will be investigated whether the offense of disturbing service and other crimes have been committed.
According to a complaint by the president of the Mathematics Department of the University of Athens, Sotiris Notaris was attacked by a group of hoodlums who threw various objects, such as eggs and paints while breaking computers and screens.
“In the end, a group of the team told me ‘if you do anything we will kill you again,'” the professor said in a testimony to “Kathimerini”.
The teachers of the department spoke of “unacceptable incidents and a fierce attack”, and decided to proceed with a two -day abstinence from their teaching duties on Wednesday and yesterday.
