Measures in Santorini and Amorgos are still in force, as decided by the committees that met in the afternoon examining issues related to the current seismic and volcanic activity in the wider area of ​​Thira.

  • Seismic activity within the caldera remains at the same level, while a decrease in the rate of soil deformation, which is constantly monitored, is observed in the wider area of ​​Santorini.
  • Public buildings, based on their controls so far, have shown very good behavior in seismic loads.

Committees remind the following preventive measures:

Citizens should:

  • Avoid large gatherings within buildings.
  • To avoid approach to abandoned buildings.
  • Avoid access and stay in the ports of Ammoudi, Armeni, Korfos and Paleo Port of Fira.
