But what will remain in our collective memory, and we must never forget is the solidarity we have received. One of the first discussions I had early that morning was with my good friend, Greek Foreign Minister Mr. Gerapetritis, as well as with my good friend, Deputy Foreign Minister Tassos (Hadjivasiliou), with whom we have known each other. There was an immediate expression of compassion, not only in words but also in tangible help » The Foreign Minister of Northern Macedonia said, noting that the first patients who left his country were the ones who came to Thessaloniki.

The parents as a whole asked me to carry the thanks and gratitude to doctorsin medical staff For the excellent care that their children receive. From what we were informed – I am not a doctor, the Minister of Health is, but on my side I understand – the patients are in serious but stable condition and will be monitored. Patients, as well as our medical services, are regularly informed by medical staff here at the hospital and we came today with my fellow Minister of Health, Dr. Arben Taravari, to express our gratitude and pray so that we will never have to pay back this kind of debt and solidarity, to thank the Greek people, the Greek government. “ Mr. Moutsunski added.

We are close to their parents and relatives » Mr. Gioulekas noted.

The state of the burns critical
The condition of the three burns remains critical, as the director of the Papanikolaou Burn Unit said, a plastic surgeon Sofia Papadopoulou. “They are young people (19, 25 and 26 years old), a boy and two girls. Are in critical condition all three. We cannot say that they have escaped the danger, because while they have burns in their bodies to a small extent – they are 15 to 25%, mainly in the face and hands – they have inhalation burns from the smoke they have inhaled, that is, damage to the lungs and airways, and it is that we can do so. Intensive care are needed, with the support of the First ICU of our Hospital and with the administration and with all staff, so that we can do the best for these new patients. Of course, these burns that have their hands and face are operated on, but we do not expect problems on the surgical side. The two have undergone surgery, but today two of them will be operated on again in the coming days and the third » Mrs Papadopoulou noted.
