The Minister of Education, Niki Kerameos, visited the primary school of Agia Paraskevi, where she attended the implementation of the Skills Workshops and spoke with students.
Her post on Facebook:
The children themselves are often the most prolific judges of our work, those who tell us the good and the bad!
Those who tell us how the school will help them even more to make their dreams come true.
I had the pleasure to visit a school in Agia Paraskevi and talk to the students of the 5th grade about the Skills Workshops, about how they are implemented, about how they can be improved.
The children talked to me about two main topics that have been worked on in this context:
- The environment: its protection, the effects of climate change. They had even done a job that found a reduction in the amount of snow on mountain peaks around the world due to rising temperatures.
- Empathy: the importance of putting yourself in the other person’s shoes, realizing that not everyone has the same experiences, the same performances in life.
See here in the video what the children told me in detail.
