Donation of a new dialysis machine to Florina General Hospital “Eleni Th. Dimitrou”
Maintaining its commitment to Greek society, OPAP carries out substantial actions that strengthen agencies and organizations across the country, with the contribution and support to vulnerable groups, to be a priority.
In this context, OPAP made another very important donation to Florina, offering a dialysis machine to the Florina General Hospital “Eleni Th. Dimitriou”, which is expected to upgrade the level of medical care in the area.
This donation is one of the social actions of the Corporate Responsibility Program “Together for GOOD PURPOSE”, which is implemented with the help of OPAP network partners throughout Greece.
The delivery of the new dialysis machine took place on Tuesday, April 1st, in the presence of the administration and medical staff of the Florina General Hospital, representatives of OPAP, as well as the associate who had proposed this action.
Panos Gabriel, OPAP’s corporate communication and corporate responsibility manager, said: “The program Together for GOOD PURPOSE highlights the social face of OPAP and his associates. Our partners find social needs throughout Greece and OPAP comes and implements them. In this context, we handed over to Florina General Hospital a new dialysis machine. “
For his part, George Mantos, Commander of the Florina General Hospital, said: “We are pleased to accept the donation from OPAP, an external kidney machine, for which OPAP immediately accepted our request and today we receive it. It is very important in a remote hospital, as is ours, to accept such help that we can give our patients more quality services. ”
“Together for GOOD PURPOSE” reinforces structures and bodies of local communities
OPAP’s corporate responsibility program “Together for GOOD PURPOSE” aims to meet basic needs of local communities.
These needs are highlighted by OPAP network partners throughout Greece, who know better than anyone who is the shortcomings and problems of their areas.
In the context of the second round of the program actions are implemented throughout Greece, providing equipment, food and basic goods to various structures and agencies. Indeed, last year, social actions were successfully carried out in 21 prefectures in the country.
