Immediately, Port Authority officials with the help of a private boat as well as crew members of the above ship attempted to rescue the dog, with negative results, as it entered a rainwater collection well. At the same time, the Nea Makri Fire Department (PC), the Port Rafina (OLR), the competent department of the Municipality as well as members of the Animal Association “PIGASOS” were informed. Subsequently, efforts were made again by executives from the PS, with the assistance of LS-ELAKT executives. and OLP’s staff, without making it possible to release the animal. This point was excluded in the early hours of today, after the actions of the PC. and OLR, the dog left the well by swimming and with the help of a patrol vessel of the LS-ELAKT, headed within the old port of Rafina, where he was collected by an animal organization.
