The ECtHR sets on June 26 to the deadline for Fredis Belleris and the Albanian Government in an out -of -court settlement
The European Court of Human Rights has gone positively on the request of Fredis Belleris for the examination of irregularities observed during the arrest and detention two days before the Municipal Elections in Himara.
Specifically, the ECtHR sets on June 26 until the deadline for ND MEP Fredis Beleris and the Albanian government in an out -of -court settlement. If not achieved, the two sides will be called upon to present their arguments before the court.
It is worth noting that at the stage of the European Court of Human Rights, the overwhelming percentage of similar requests is rejected.
ND and EPP MEP Mr. Fredis Beleri said:“The preliminary ruling of the European Court of Human Rights, which, in principle, deemed to be in the first place of my appeal against my illegal detention two days before the Municipal Elections in Himara, is a first, but at the same time a great justification. Justification for my unshakable faith in European acquis and democracy. Justification for the approaches against me, but also against the will of the Greek national minority. Finally, for those who continue to fight for the rule of law and the institutions in the integration of Albania. Thanks to my attorney, Professor Nikos Alivizatos, who with his team handled the case. Today, it was the beginning to recover what we won democratically and deprived us of a coup. “
