Another seizure of large quantities of cocaine were carried out in the early hours of the morning hours yesterday, executives of the Regional Drug Enforcement Team (PODIN/LS-ELAKT) of the Piraeus Central Port Authority at the Piraeus Port Authority.
In particular, forty -five (45) plastic packages were seized containing a quantity of cocaine totaling fifty three kilos and seven hundred and seventy -eight grams (53,778 kg), for the total value of which are provided for by the current penalties.
In collaboration with the Drug Enforcement and Smuggling Directorate of the LS-ELAKT Headquarters. (DIADALNA) are carried out from the first moment companies of collecting data and evidence, as well as investigations to identify and arrest the perpetrators. In this context, a mechanism of inter -service cooperation has been activated with the 3rd Customs Office of Piraeus, ELAS, SDOE. and principles abroad.
