The president of EVOL, Nikitas Printzos, has died

Nikitas Printzos, president of EVOL and president of the Volos Agricultural Cooperative, passed away at the age of 78, after a short hospital stay in the last few days at the University Hospital. He had been suffering from a serious health problem lately and had been admitted to the hospital other times for follow-up and was last admitted on March 15, as he had also contracted a coronavirus. Despite the efforts made by the doctors, the 78-year-old president of EVOL did not succeed and ended up in the covid clinic where he was treated.

Nikitas Printzos was the brother of the doctor and former New Democracy MP Costa Printzou, originally from Aerino, Magnesia, and together they engaged in agricultural production and animal husbandry, creating the large pig farm. He was the president of the Agricultural Cooperative of Volos and vice-president of PASEGES from 2000 until today, while he was the man who launched the EVOL Cooperative Dairy as its president.

With his vision he managed to support the farmers and stockbreeders of the whole region and at the same time to make EVOL a modern dairy industry with its products traveling all over Greece, after equipping the dairy factory, in the 1st Industrial Zone of Volos, with modern machines, developed a large transport network and managed together with its partners in 2020 to create profits in the company amounting to 2.5 million euros, with the liquidity of the Cooperative being significant and planning investments, while the Cooperative had no loan obligations nor debts.

Some time ago, more than 2 million euros were invested in machinery and equipment, while the next goal was to find EVOL at the center of the market, distribution, distribution and consumption by creating two distribution centers in Athens and Thessaloniki.
