Investigations by the Anti -Terrorism Service on the bomb attack on Friday night outside the Hellenic Train offices on Syngrou Avenue are under way.

Authorities are looking closely at the visual material available to them and have collected from security cameras in the wider area to map road movements and details of how they placed the explosive device.

From the videos they currently have at their disposal, they have focused on a black man and a backpack that seems to be heading from Syngrou Avenue on Petmeza Street. The man then appears to arrive at the corner of the road – where the backpack with the explosive mechanism was placed – and stay there for a few seconds before leaving by making a call from his cellphone.

According to information, the man had a backpack with him that the authorities did not exclude that it contained the explosive device.

Whose investigations are turned

Authorities are considering the details and all possible scenarios as well as if there are similarities to the terrorist attack last February at the Ministry of Labor due to warning phone calls and the lock in the backpack.

However, they are talking about high -risk movement from experienced people and estimate that it is a warning action that the perpetrators wanted to carry out immediately without much preparation.

Of particular importance is that the mechanism had no explosives but a pyrotechnic substance. Unlike other explosions, such as in the Ministry of Labor, this was low for it and the material damage was limited.

In addition, authorities evaluate information that wanted terrorism incarcerated to plan some dynamic energy in the days before Easter.
