The Memorial was preceded by the Divine Liturgy in the Holy Chapel of St. Paul at the headquarters of the Archdiocese of America, which was presented by the Archbishop of the Archbishop Elias Dillis, while the former Archbishop of the Archbishop of America, of the 100 leadership of 100, Polet Poulos, as well as Hierarchs, Clergymen, Associates and members of the Archdiocese.

The late Hierarch was elected Archbishop of North and South America on February 14, 1959, and with his tenure brought a new brilliant time for the Greek Orthodox Church in America.

He retired on July 29, 1996 after 37 years of ministry, during which he was distinguished for his enlightened leadership, the promotion of religious unity and the defense of human and political rights, gaining the unlimited respect for all US presidents.
