This study took environmental terms as a forest road and not a provincial, “Thessaly Regional Governor Dimitris Kouretas told SKAI.
Collapsed new seaside to Thessaly that would link the Larissa with Volosshortly before the inauguration ribbon was cut around the end of July. The problem is mainly located in 12th kilometer of Agiokambou–Tile, where the scene is reminiscent of a bombarded landscape, as the road is gone.
Talking to SKAI The Regional Governor of Thessaly Dimitris Kouretashe informed that this road was auctioned in 2019 and the contract was signed on 7/8 of 2020 with compulsory construction for 2 years, which took place for 4 years and which was constantly postponed because there were problems on the road.
“Why were there any problems? The study, which was approved on environmental terms, made 10 years to be approved, from 2007 to 2016. This study said “Improvement of an existing dirt road that does not fall into the national or provincial network of the Prefectures”. Instead, in 2019 a project came to the Regional Council called “Rakopotamos-Keramidi Provincial Road. The question is therefore: this study that took environmental terms as a forest road, why was not observed?
“Therefore, we have now ordered a new expertise to show us why this happened,” as Mr Kouretas said. “The initial study may have nothing to do with now and there should be a new expertise to see what happened then, how that study was done, what it included and most importantly, is there money to end the road? I don’t have. In my opinion, this road should not be done. “
