The culmination of the Divine Drama with unique emotion and devotion was experienced today, on Friday, April 18, 2025, residents and visitors of Naxos, who flooded the chapel of St. Gregory in Kastraki and participated in the special Epitaph in the sea.
As cyclades24.gr reports, the simple and symbolic epitaph, created for yet another year of seafood, adorned with lilies and wildflowers of the area, moved those who attended and awe in the background of heaven and waves.
The procession of the Epitaph was accompanied by the faithful chants and the sounds of the traditional Souvllari.
Kastraki gave the “present” by Deputy Minister of Sports Mr. Yiannis Vroutsis, the governor Yiannis Margaritis, as well as a large number of believers from all over the island and visitors from every corner of Greece.
It is noteworthy that the Epitaph of the Epitaph at the sea takes place exclusively in Naxos and Tinos, and specifically in the churches of Agia Gregory in Kastraki and Agios Eleftherios – Agios Nikolaos in Tinos, making the custom separately nationwide.
