The new Transit Connect Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) of Ford Pro comes to offer all professional customers the flexibility of a gasoline-electric drive system, which provides purely electric driving with the support of an efficient petrol engine for longer travel. All of this is offered in an extremely attractive package with top practicality, high cargo transport capabilities and advanced technologies that ensure a premium experience in all driving scenarios.

With ‘2 in 1’ plug-in hybrid drive system

The first in the history of the Transit Connect PHEV Motion System combines an EcoBoost family petrol engine with a 1.5L capacity with a high -voltage battery and an electric motor yielding a combined of 150ps and 350nm of torque with the help of a six -speed dual -clutch automatic transmission. The maximum payload is 761 kg for the long wheelbase version and the maximum 1,500 kg trailers for the short wheelbase.

Transit Connect PHEV offers electric autonomy up to 119 km, ideally serving a variety of urban distribution services. All customers can replenish the high -voltage battery electricity on a DC speedmaster with a maximum power of 40 kW, with charging from 5% to 80% completed in 26 minutes or fully charging it, using the car’s 11 kW 11 kW charger. In this case, the 0-100% charge is completed in about 2.5 hours.

There are three operating programs that help optimize energy use: EV now, for driving using the electric motor, EV Auto, for driving with balanced performance characteristics between the thermal and electric motor and the EV Later, to save electricity for subsequent use – useful in the city.

It is also noteworthy that the highly efficient PHEV system supports 2 years/30,000 km service spaces for optimized ownership costs.

With incompatible cargo capabilities

As a model, the Transit Connect is designed to serve a wide range of customer requirements that use compact van vehicles daily. Thus, Ford Pro offers the model in short or long wheelbase versions, as a two-seat panel van or a 5-seater Flexcab.

The new design of the Panel Van Panel Van’s Panel Van version offers an increased capacity of 3.1 m3 or 3.7 m3 depending on the length of the wheelbase of the model. The Transit Connect Flexcab introduces a revolutionary, new flexible seat philosophy that allows customers to quickly and easily convert their vehicle from a comfortable 5-seater into a functional professional van-important for those who wish to own a double-use van. Specifically, the rear seat of the FlexCab version is easily folded forward and upward in a matter of seconds to increase the loading volume to 3.1 m3 (L1) or 3.7 m3 (L2) – L2 models offer space for the transfer of two EUROPE. When folded, the rear seats form a full height protector and ensure that the passengers of the front seats enjoy a comfortable driving experience.

Advanced technology for a premium experience

The connected cockpit of the new Transit Connect PHEV features a standard 10 -inch digital dashboard consisting of a configurable main display framed by secondary information. This is combined with a colored central touchscreen, also 10 -inch, with connected navigation available to create an elegant and productive digital cockpit.

Drivers using their phone device for navigation or communication with customers benefit from Apple Carplay and Android Auto wireless, while wireless devices are provided in Limited and Active. Charging other equipment such as laptop or tools is a simple matter, as the USB-C ports in the cabin offer up to 45 Watts.

Further optional technologies include the Pro Trailer Backup Assist, which helps drivers to make accurate trailer maneuvers without the latter being folded. The system uses rear -view sensors and camera to help the Transit Connect PHEV driver intuitively guide the trailer with a control button and digital display instead of the steering wheel.

With the support of highly competitive funding programs that, among other things, offer a 2.99%interest rate, the first Transit Connect PHEVs have already begun to surrender to our country, to those who prioritized the reliability, economy and flexibility of a petrol-electric system.
