The project “Integrated Protection, Protection and Security System for Mount Aigaleo is implemented by Nova ICT. The project was commissioned by the Environmental Association of Municipalities of Athens – Piraeus (PESYDAP) and its aim is to protect and promote an important green lung that directly affects about 2 million inhabitants in 23 municipalities.
The project is part of the innovative “Smart Forest” system, utilizing advanced artificial intelligence tools (AI), new generation networks, smart applications, sensors and cameras with image analysis capabilities, with the aim of preventing and effectively managing natural disasters.
At the heart of the system is a state -of -the -art management and control center, which ensures complete operational readiness of civil protection bodies, timely informing citizens and immediate coordination in emergency cases.
The project aims to act as a reference point for protecting the environment and the safety of residents from natural disasters. At the same time, it promotes the environmental awareness of the local community through educational tools and actions that encourage the participation of citizens, students, volunteers and visitors.
In the context of the publicity actions of the project “Integrated System of Protection, Protection and Security for Mount Aigaleo”, Nova ICT supports the environmental event organized by PESYDAP. “We run and walk on the trails of Mount Aigaleo”, which will take place on Sunday, June 1, 2025. The event includes a 7km Trail Run, as well as a hiking route for all ages, starting with Mount Aigaleo.
This event enhances the connection of citizens to nature and highlights the importance of the collective effort to protect the environment. The action is part of a wider strategic plan that focuses on protecting and utilizing Mount Aigaleo, with technology acting as a catalyst for a better quality of life and a safe, open natural environment for all.
