For the fourth consecutive year, Greek public universities will give the “present” to NAFSA, one of the most important international exhibitions on higher education.

Nafsa, which is meeting point Of all the “players” of the World Education Ecosystem, this year will take place this year in San Diego, California during the period May 27-30, 2025. representatives from 10 universities.

More specifically, the universities that have been included in the “mission” of Study in Greece are: National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA), Economics University of Athens (OPA), University of Thessaly, University of Patras, Harokopio University.

“Uninterrupted participation in international events has secured our country a prominent position on the world academic map, significantly enhancing its recognition,” Christos Michalakelis commented on RES-EIA.

As he pointed out, SIG’s framework by Greek universities, in a single, national mission to international exhibitions has contributed in recent years “Important in the rapid and qualitative development of the internationalization of Greek Higher Education” and at the same time “highlight the role of study in Greece as a national body for the internationalization of Greek universities”.

SIG and HEI representatives will go to the US to participate in Nafsa’s work from next Tuesday to Friday.

At the National Mission Pavilion, higher education agents from around the world will have the opportunity to get to know the landscape of higher education in Greece. Also, Greek universities will be able to highlight the academic opportunities they offerthus opening prospects for new partnerships and deepening the existing ones.

In addition, during the exhibition, SIG and representatives of the ten Greek public universities will attend seminars and workshops, which are expected to prove to be crucial, to draw their strategy to approach the international academic community.

“It is certain that the dynamic start of Greek universities in the arena of internationalization will be followed by an equally dynamic course and the implementation of the mild power strategic power, such as internationalization, will bring significant changes to the Greek academic map for the benefit of the Greek community,” Mr. Michalakelis ended with optimism.
