“Lockdown is not being discussed,” “let’s be clear,” he said categorically Minister of Interior Makis Voridis, speaking on SKAI TV and the show “Unmatched”. He cited data showing that the vast majority of those who get sick and die are unvaccinated, while vaccinated patients and possibly those without severe underlying diseases make up 0.4% of the total.

About the possibility lockdown only for the unvaccinated against the coronavirus according to the Austrian standards, Mr. Voridis characteristically stated that “it is an idea that I would consider”.

To expand it mandatory vaccinations, the Minister of Interior stressed that it is something that has never left the table but is always considered in relation to the contact of employees with the public and is not considered in general.

For health supervisor Mr. Voridis stated that the procedure of article 105 of the civil code has been initiated and his disciplinary superior has the possibility to immediately suspend him. The disciplinary committee will then meet within six months to ratify the suspension.

The Minister of Interior also stated that for the specific employee three cases have reached the disciplinary. One case is pending and two are acquittals. He also added that from what he knows, a criminal case has been drafted for the case.

Mr. Voridis also pointed out that his act is not related to the responsibilities of the health supervisor and that his title should not be confusing. He is not a doctor, he is not in the NSS, but he belongs to a specialty that controls the observance of health regulations, for example in stores.
