The 3 -year -old has discontinued medication and medical monitoring, resulting in serious health and public health at serious risk.
Authorities are underway to identify a 38 -year -old motherwhich is accused of breach of disease prevention measures as it allegedly interrupted the medical monitoring of her 3 -year -old daughter, who suffers from tuberculosis.
The incident was recorded in Rosewhere the minor, born in 2021 and a resident of a municipal unit in the south of Rhodes, was attended by Aglaia Kyriakou Children’s Hospital in Athens.
The last recorded contact with the hospital was made on May 20, 2025. Since then, according to the District District, the Minor has discontinued medication and medical monitoringresulting in a serious risk of her health and public health because of the nature of the disease.
The mother, who is in Athens, had contacted the South Aegean Region’s Health Director by phone and pledged to go with her daughter to Children’s Hospital.
However, this promise was not adhered to, which activated the process of self -esteem, with the police now looking for the woman.
Tuberculosis, though treatable, requires systemic medical treatment and close monitoring, especially in cases of young children. Stop treatment not only jeopardized the minor, but also poses risks to transmit the disease to other people.
Authorities consider the case serious both for negligence against a minor and the threat of public health, as the mother allegedly prevented the intended medical procedure knowingly.
The preliminary investigation is continuing under the supervision of a non -police officer who has taken over the case, while police forces have launched searches in collaboration with Athens services.
