Agia Kalliopi
St. Kalliopi lived in the middle of the 3rd century AD, in the years of Emperor Decius. She was distinguished for her natural beauty, but also her rich mental and spiritual gifts. She rejected any marriage proposal because she had devoted her life to Christ, the teaching of His Divine Word and the ministry and fairy tale of her patients and suffered brothers. In the terrible persecution launched by the terrible persecutor of Christian Dekios, Kalliopi was arrested and led to the local lord, who admired her beauty and tried with various flattery and promises to entice her and drag her into his life. But the Saint, with heroic stability, obsession and a racing mindset, confessed her faith in Christ, the only Savior and Redeemer. Outraged, the tyrant was ordered and whipped it ruthlessly. Then they carved her with knives and burned her wounds. Eventually she was beheaded by giving her the heavenly and indestructible glory.

Saint Nicodemus writes that he may be the brother of the Great Basil and Gregory of Nyssa, who was a wonderful ascetic. He even fishing in the lakes and rivers fish and then distributed them to the poor. But the only sure thing is that he died peacefully.
But from the Mauritius Co -operator we learn that he was Studitis Nafratios, the well -known monk, who was a warm supporter of the sacred images, for any persecutions and exiles. During the Patriarchate of the Holy Ignatius he was (842 AD) abbot of the Monastery of Stoudi, where he was buried as a confessor, when he died in 847 AD.
Others, Saint Nafratos Studitis celebrates April 18th.
