Specifically, following cooperation with the Minister of Rural Development & Food Costas Tsiaras, with the competent Secretary General of Union Resources and Infrastructure of the Ministry of Education Dimitris Papayannidis and the Secretary General of Rural Development and Food George Stratakostoday, 10/6/2025, the invitation was issued (No. 153616 and DEFEPP4653 AB1) for the submission of proposals to Measure 23 “Extraordinary temporary liquidity support for farmers, affected by natural disasters after January 1, 2024” of the Rural Development Program 2014 – 2022.

The purpose of the measure is to immediately address the liquidity difficulties faced by farmers due to natural disaster, either directly in their income from reducing production, or indirectly as an increase in production costs due to the actions they must take due to the devastating causes.

Measure 23 is applied to areas affected by the officially recognized natural disasters of prolonged high temperatures, drought, heavy rainfall and quartz, alone or in combination, after January 1, 2024, for specific crops included in at least 30.1. %.

The public expenditure of this invitation amounts to one hundred and seventy -eight million five hundred thousand euros (178,500,000.00 €) and is co -funded by the European Agricultural Fund of Rural Development (EAFAA).

The one -off amount of support for each beneficiary is the product of the eligible hectares/cells, which holds, for one single amount per hectare/hive for each relevant area/cultivation specified in the invitation.
